We are unable to be personal tech support for all devices or situations. Here are some general troubleshooting tips to get your device to behave.

👉 Update the device to the latest version of its system software. This could mean the most recent Windows update or MacOS update for 💻laptops or the current version of iOS or Android for 📲mobile devices. This may require restarting the device to complete the update

👉 Update the app. Facebook regularly releases updates for its 👩‍💻apps (Facebook and Messenger). These updates may be different for different platforms and devices. Just like updating system software, apps need to be up to date, too.

👉 Power off the device and restart. From time to time, computers and phones need to 🔌restart from being off to reload the system software and apps with clean versions. It's the digital equivalent of a power nap 😴to refresh.

👉 Log out of the app. Less frequently, you'll want to log out of the app and log back in so that the app knows who you are and is reminded what you are allowed to do. As apps update and give you new features, it may not recognize 😳that you are allowed to use them until you log in again. So, log out and then log back in. Be sure you know your password before you log out, if you haven't done so in a while.
